Mr. Levesque opened the hearing at 7:00 PM.
Mrs. Johnson swore in all who expressed intent to speak regarding the applications.
Mrs. Emick motioned to adopt the minutes of the 8/26/2020 ZBA Hearing as presented by the Town Clerk. Mr. Ortman seconded, and the motion was carried unanimously.
- Michael Kaizer requesting a Height Variance to construct a 42’ x 64’ pole barn 30’ tall which does not comply with Zoning Sec. 403 at property located at 5252 Ramsey Rd., Ashville, NY, specifically Section 349.00-2-12.2
Mr. Kaizer said he would like to build a pole barn to store boats and possibly a camper. He said he would like a tall building to store the camper and needs the door to be 13 feet high and the walls will need to be 16 feet tall. Mr. Kaizer does not believe it will be too big for the property. Mr. Kaizer said there will not be a second floor it will just be open. Mr. Kaizer said he will be meeting all the setbacks. Mrs. Emick asked if the barn will be used for his personal use. Mr. Kaizer said it will be used only for personal storage and there will not be any commercial renting or storage. Mr. Levesque requested the clerk to correct the application on page one and change the wordage from pole garage to pole barn. Mr. Kaizer agreed to the change. There was discussion on the height and requirements of a pole barn and what will be stored in the barn. Mrs. Emick asked if there will be any heat or plumbing in the pole barn. Mr. Kaizer said there will not be heat or plumbing. Mr. Kaizer said he will hopefully have a concrete floor.
Mr. Levesque motioned to grant a height variance to Michael Kaizer to construct a 42’ x 64’ pole barn 30’ tall which does not comply with Zoning Sec. 403 at property located at 5252 Ramsey Rd., Ashville, NY, specifically Section 349.00-2-12.2Mr. Michalak seconded. Yes (5): Levesque, Emick, Ortman, Michalak, Henck. No (0). The motion was carried.
On a motion made by Mr. Levesque, seconded by Mr. Michalak, and with none being opposed,
the hearing was adjourned at 8:25 PM.
