FREE RABIES IMMUNIZATION CLINIC for cats, dogs, & domestic ferrets

ASHVILLE FIRE STATION #2, 5338 STOW RD., ASHVILLE, NY
1) Animals must be accompanied by an adult. 2) Bring only healthy animals. 3) Know age and breed of animal. 4) Animals must be 3 months old to receive first shot. 5) Dogs must be on a leash. 6) Cats must be in a container. 7) Know the name of the township where you live. 8) Bring previous vaccination record to get a 3 year vaccination.
VACCINATION GUIDELINES: 1) New York State law requires cats, dogs, and domestic ferrets be vaccinated for rabies by age 4 months. 2) 1st booster required within one (1) year of first dose of rabies vaccine. 3) 2nd booster required every 3 years after.
LICENSING OF DOGS IN THE TOWN OF NORTH HARMONY
Town of North Harmony Law and NYS Agriculture & Markets Law Article 7 provide that no person shall own or possess a dog within the town unless such dog is licensed and identified. All dogs in North Harmony must be licensed with the Town Clerk by the age of 4 months and are required to provide a current Certificate of Rabies at the time of making an application for a license or for the renewal of an existing license.
IF YOU ARE A NORTH HARMONY RESIDENT, AN OPPORTUNITY TO LICENSE YOUR DOG WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE 9/18/18 RABIES CLINIC. The cost of a license for a spayed/neutered dog is $6.00; un-spay/un-neuter cost is $13.00.
