- JOHN WARNER OPENED THE MEETING AT 7:00 PM.
- LAWSON, ZONING C.E.O. GAVE REPORT.
- DESIGN GUIDELINES
Mr. McCord said we already have design guidelines we could use.
- MOTION
- JOHNSON MOTIONED TO RECOMMEND TO THE TOWN BOARD TO ADD THE SECTION 404 REQUIREMENT TO THE C1A AND C1 DISTRICTS. MR. REIG SECONDED. YES (5) NO (0). THE MOTION WAS CARRIED
- GRICE PROPERTY
Mr. Lawson said the Town Board discussed the recommendation from the Planning Board of turning the Grice property to a TC 2, and the Town Board was looking at making the property C1 A.
- ACCESSORY STRUCTURES
Mr. Lawson discussed with the board about coming up with a size limit on accessory structures. He said they have only had one incident where the structure was bigger than the town would like. In this incident it worked out but, in the future, they might want to have a size limit in place. He said there is a height guideline already in place but there is not a square footage guideline.
Mr. McCord said we need to be flexible in the size be there are all different size lots and what might work in one location might not work in another.
Mr. Lawson said maybe they can go by percentage.
Mr. McCord said we need to keep in mind the size of the house compared to the size of the accessory building. You don’t want to have an accessory building that you can fit two houses in. It just looks odd.
- PENALTY PROVISION
Mr. McCord proposed a fairly strict penalty provision that spells out the process for the justice and Code Enforcement Officer for reported violations.
- MOTION
- WARNER MOTIONED TO PRESENT VIOLATIONS AND PENALTY PROVISIONS TO THE TOWN BOARD. MR. GEIST SECONDED. YES (5) NO (0). THE MOTION WAS CARRIED.
Next regular meeting scheduled for April 10, 2018 at 7:00 P.M.
