Planning Board

Tuesday, 03/13/2018, 7:00 PM

 

Members Present:          Pat Rice                Dick Johnson

                                         John Warner       Louis Rieg          

                                         Phil Strand          Walter Geist

                                         Steve Senske

                                          Brad Lawson, Zoning C.E.O

 

Others Present:                Don McCord, Louise Ortman, Dick Sena,                                               Stephanie Gibbs

 

                Mr. Rice opened the hearing at 7:00 PM.

 

                Mr. Lawson, Zoning C.E.O. gave report and Town report.

 

Grice Property:

 

                Brad Lawson said that the town board does not remember changing the Grice property from a commercial property to an R3 property. Mr. Lawson said it is changed on the comprehensive plan and that the Town Board thinks it should be changed back.

                There was discussion between the board about different options for the Grice property. They discussed leaving it how it is, changing it back to the way it was before or modifying it.

                Mr. Rice said changing the property to TC2 would be an idea to consider. Changing the property to a TC2 would give the landowners more options for the property.

 

MOTION 1

 

Steve Senske Motioned to leave the AR alone and take the R3 properties to the former line and take that to TC2, seconded by John Warner.

 

All in favor Yes (7) No (0)

 

There was further discussion

 

MOTION 2, AMENDING MOTION 1

 

Steve Senske amended Motion 1 to include 400 feet of AR to TC2.

 

MOTION 3

 

Steve Senske motioned to change the current R3 from Wells Bay to the end of Niagra Mohawk property and the AR 400 feet inland to TC 2 as well and to officially notify all owners effected.

 

All in favor Yes (7) No (0)

 

                Mr. Lawson brought up a complaint that was brought to him from the lakeside of Route 394. Residents are complaining of four wheelers, snowmobiles and motorcycles running around properties late at night. Mr. Lawson said it was an R1 district and wanted to know if there was a way to control it and do we want to? Mr. Lawson mentioned that maybe a local law and making people aware of the law might deter it from happening, or even a noise ordinance. There was further discussion on the subject.

 

 

Next regular meeting scheduled for April 10, 2018 at 7:00 P.M.

 

                 

Steve Senske motioned to adjourn the meeting and Walter Geist seconded

 

Meeting adjourned at 8:45PM

Bulletin Board

The Town of North Harmony Town Clerk’s Office will be Closed at 12:00PM on Wednesday, 1/25/2023 for a Clerks Meeting.

The Town of North Harmony Town Offices will be closed Monday, 1/16/2023 for the Martin Luther King Holiday. Town offices will resume normal business hours Tuesday, 1/17/2023. Have a happy and safe weekend.
