Planning Board
August 9, 2016

Mr. Rice opened the meeting; Dick Sena gave report from the Town Board Meeting. See August Town Board Meeting minutes.
Sketch Plan Review: Staci Cranor, The Broadway Group on property owned by Jerry Grice (332.1-1-22.5) located on corner Route 394 and Wells Bay Road.
Mr. Lawson said he had spoken to Staci Cranor of the Broadway Group and presented the board with a plan for a potential business with alcohol sales.
Some of the topics discussed included:
The building will be taking up more percentage than allowed so the plan will need to go through the planning and zoning board to get an area variance.
They will be taking up 40% and the normal coverage is 35%.
The property is a commercial property.
As of right now there is no water to the property and Brad is not sure where the location of the septic will be or how big it will be.
At this time we still don’t know what kind of business it is. According to the plans the building will be 9100 sq. ft. about the size of the fire hall.
Sign Regulations
Some of the topics discussed included:
There are to be no new off premises bill boards.
There was a discussion on the overwhelming amount of signs for businesses on the side of the road and on other properties.
There was a discussion that maybe they can limit the amount of signs and having permission to post the signs on any property it is put on.
There was also discussion on a time frame for the seasonal signs to be up.
Mr. Sena notified the board of Barb Hoyt’s passing and stated that the benefit that was being held for Barb Hoyt will still be taking place.
Motioned by Dick for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:50 PM and seconded by Mr. Rieg. All in favor yes (4) no (0).
