Members Present: Wally Geist, Steve Senske, Phil Strand, John Warner, Dick Johnson
Others Present: Charles Halle, Karen Halle, Louise Ortman, Dick Sena, Toni DeAngelo, Diane Hendrix, Robert Ott
Meeting was brought to order by Steve Senske. Mr. Lawson, Zoning C.E.O. gave report. See April 2016 Town Board minutes.
Mr. Senske requested to have a moment of silence for Ralph Whitney, long time councilman and Chautauqua Lake teacher.
Site Plan Review: Tony DeAngelo (332.16-1-24) 3612 Watson Rd., Stow, NY
Mrs. DeAngelo said she wants to expand her current house because her family is expanding and in order for them to visit and stay with her she needs more space.
Mrs. DeAngelo said she brought some neighbors with her that support her and she has signatures from her closest neighbors on both sides of her stating they support the expansion.
Mrs. DeAngelo felt expanding out is better for her and she didn’t want to build up.
Ms. Hendrix presented the package to the board.
Ms. Hendrix said they are making the existing garage into bedroom space and building a similar garage onto the house.
Ms. Hendrix said that Mrs. DeAngelo had the septic inspected by the county and it met the qualifications for a 3 bedroom home. Mrs. DeAngelo said the inspector was supposed to send the letter to Brad.
Ms. Hendrix said the addition will be 5ft. from the property line and 44ft. from the center of Watson Rd. 31 feet is the closest the corner of the addition will be from the edge of the road.
Mr. Lawson said the zoning board will be looking at the distance of 31ft. because it is not 50ft.
Ms. Hendrix said there will be plenty of room for Mrs. DeAngelo to park her car in the driveway.
Mrs. DeAngelo said the water garden is new to the sketch.
Mrs. DeAngelo said the letters from the neighbors was a standard letter she made and had them sign to make is easier.

Mrs. De Angelo said there has not been any negative feedback from the neighbors.
Mrs. DeAngelo said she is going to have all licensed contractors do the work to make sure everything is done to code.
Mr. Lawson said that if there are any missing dimensions on the package for the area variances that would be an issue for the zoning board.
Ms. Hendrix said she has two site plans. Mr. Lawson said it was fine they have to all be submitted together.
Ms. Hendrix was asked to make some corrections on the plans present them back to the board for a vote.
Dick Johnson motioned to recommend in favor of Mrs. DeAngelo’s project. Mr. Geist seconded it. YES (5) Geist, Senske, Strand, Warner, Johnson. NO (0) THE MOTIONED WAS CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Sketch Plan Review: Lisa Ott (332.12-1-25) 3716 Lakeland Ave., Stow, NY
Mr. Ott said that there aren’t any changes since the last month’s meeting.
Mr. Ott is building a new residence and converting the seasonal residence into a garage.
Mr. Ott added pictures of the rain gardens and included how they came up with the calculations of how much rain it could hold what he came up with would hold up to 2 1/2 inches of rain. The gardens will be 195 square feet on each side. Mr. Ott used the internet to come up with the calculations from online sites and other resources.
Mr. Lawson said that they could go with that and that it’s a good start.
Mr. Lawson said that the septic has been approved by the county and that Mr. Ott has been given guidelines of what to do after.
Mr. Ott said the building will be built to the flood plain regulations.
Mr. Ott said the existing hom will be a garage and will not be turned into a livable space.
Mr. Ott will be tying their new house into the old septic system.
Mr. Ott said the county has said that the current septic does not need to be demolished.
Mr. Lawson said he would get a clarification from the county on that.
Mr. Ott said there is no negative feedback from the neighbors. His family lives on one side and they contacted the other neighbors and there were no objections.
John Warner motioned to recommend in favor of the Ott’s project. Phil Strand seconded. YES (5) Geist, Senske, Strand, Warner, Johnson. NO (0). THE MOTIONED WAS CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Mr. Lawson said the town is getting a little bit busier and the town adopted the sign laws so he will be enforcing them. He has been in contact with the small contractors and there will be a letter to get out to the realtors about the signs near the roads.
Mr. Lawson said he got a call from a commercial solar company looking for our laws. There was a discussion on what might come in the future with solar panels.
Mr. Lawson said Booty Bay has been sold, and the power boat club has been split off
Mr. Lawson said there was another house project coming up.
There will be a party for Sally Carlson on July 2nd.
