Mr. Rice opened the meeting, Mr. Lawson, Zoning C.EO. gave report.
Mr. Lawson submitted the setback modifications and suggested language changes to Accessory Structure and Storage Structure.
Mr. Rice suggested that new language would help to prevent too many Accessory Structures on one project, mainly in the R-1&R-2 Districts. Mr. Lawson would like a limit on Accessory Structures. He suggested any Accessory Structure have a Special Use Permit, with a public hearing. This would allow neighbors to attend.
Mr. McCord said there was also some discussion at last month’s meeting in regard to district lines for the C-1 Districts in North Harmony. Most boundaries for C-1 Districts follow parcel boundaries except for the C-1 District near Stow, which parallels the road at a depth of 500 ft. This is measured from the road right of way not from the centerline.
Mr. McCord discussed adding language to the sign ordinance for business signs. Mr. McCord provided samples from other towns. Mr. McCord’s intent is to give some context in regards to what other communities are doing for home occupation signs and business signs.
Mr. McCord will draft up accessory changes in law form to transmit to Town Board.
