Mr. Rice opened the meeting, Mr. Lawson, Zoning C.E.O. gave report. See March 10, 2015 minutes.
Mr. Lawson reviewed the newsletter regarding site plan preparation.
Diane Hendrix R.A. spoke on behalf of Paul Stenger. Mr Stenger would like to purchase Roger Luvinson’s property (350-13-1-13 , 350-13-1-29). Mr. Stenger would like to build a pole barn (garage structure) 30’W x 50’L x 18’H for boat/vehicle storage. The structure will include: metal roof, siding, windows, carriage lighting, dry well and gravel driveway. The building will be set back 70-140ft off road, with the possibility of trees planted along the front. Mr. Senske made a motion to accept this project with proper plantation and vegetation to be neighborhood friendly. Mr. Rieg seconded, the motion was carried.
Mr. Schmucker spoke to the board regarding restrictions to the Ashville Training Center property. Some of the topics discussed were:
- Hours of operation– (8a.m- 5p.m. Monday-Friday, 8a.m. – 3p.m. Saturday) with restrictions not to operate between the hours of (6p.m.- 8 a.m.)
- Lighting– as is, switching to LED lights with solar panels for indoor lighting within the first year. No outside lighting.
- Signage– free standing sign (3’x4’) hung from pvc pipes to be seen from each direction on Magnolia Rd. Directional sign for entry to main building.
- Screening– planting along frontage
Mr. Johnson made a motion to recommend the ZBA to approve site plan with conditions as modified. Mr. Senske seconded, the motion was carried.
Next regular meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2015 at 7:00.
