Effective January 1, 2015
This law prohibits all persons from placing or disposing of any electronic waste (i.e. computers, TV’s, small electronic equipment, etc.) in the trash. These items must be recycled. Listed below is information on where they may be disposed of: Ellery Landfill (716)985-5980; Sherman, West County Transfer Station (716)761-6565; Falconer, South County Transfer Station (716)665-6894; 2nd Chances Humane Society Thrift Store (716)664-4504. You may wish to contact these providers prior to bringing your items to determine what they accept and what they do not.
