PUBLIC HEARING BUDGET 2015

All rose for the Pledge of Allegiance. Mrs. Carlson brought the hearing to order at 7:00 PM.
Mrs. Carlson reviewed the Summary Page of the budget. She said the Total Appropriations went down $1,000.00. The amount to be raised by tax went up approximately $18,000.00. She said the Special District amount to be raised by tax went down approximately $6,000.00. The total Tax Levy for 2015 is $767,695.00 (up $12,000.00). She said this does not include the Fire District (2014 – $271,690.00; 2015 – $275,928.00).
Mrs. Carlson said Revenues have been adjusted to be realistic with actual amounts received and anticipated. She said wage increases are minimal.

MR. MCNEILL MOTIONED TO ADOPT THE PRELIMINARY 2015 BUDGET AS PRESENTED. MR. WHITNEY SECONDED. YES (5): WHITNEY, STOW, SENA, MCNEILL, CARLSON. NO (0). THE MOTION WAS CARRIED.
Mr. Sena noted that the town had stayed under the 2% tax cap.
Mrs. Carlson agreed and said actually the increase was 1.34%. Mrs. Carlson asked Mrs. Miller to double check that we are under the 2% cap (increase can only be $10,943?).

ON A MOTION MADE BY MR. STOW AND SECONDED BY MR SENA AND WITH NONE BEING OPPOSED, THE HEARING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:11 PM.
