- Bruce & Peggy Jo Hook requestng a Special Permit to install a 14’x70’ manufactured home in the AG district at property located at 6227 Ramsey Rd., Ashville, NY, specifically Sec. 348.00-‐1-‐16.2.
Mr. Stapleton swore in all who expressed intent to speak.
Mrs. Hook said they are trying to downsize and would like to install a single wide manufactured
home on their acreage to the west. She said in future they intend to sell their existing home which is located
on another parcel as outlined on the survey. There was general discussion of the three parcels the Hook’s
own which are adjacent. Mr. Hook said they are purchasing the manufactured home from Tom Luca and
they believe it is a 2000 model which meets all HUD requirements. Mr. Stapleton made reference to the
following sections of the Zoning Ordinance as they applied to this request. Sec. 510 pg. 66, Number of
Residential Dwellings on a Lot; Sec. 905, Pg. 146, Special Use Permit; Sec. 601, pg. 68; General
Development Conditions, D.2.; Section 629 A., Manufactured Home Standards – Single Wide Conditions.
Mr. Vaillancourt indicated he is familiar with the trailer they are purchasing and it has had a new roof over,
new siding and new windows and is very nice. He said Mr. Lawson called him personally to discuss the
trailer since he would not be at the meeting. The photographs of the trailer provided were reviewed. Mr.
Levesque asked if anyone wished to speak regarding the application. Mrs. Hook said that they would not be
moving the trailer to its new location until May, 2015 and at that time they would install brand new skirting
on the trailer.
Mr. Levesque motioned to grant a Special Use Permit to Bruce & Peggy Jo Hook to install a
14’x70’ single wide manufactured home in the AG district at property located at 6227 Ramsey
Rd., Ashville, NY, specifically Sec. 348.00-1-16.2 with the following conditions:
• all criteria outlined in Zoning Code Sec. 629 A., Manufactured Home Standards – Single
Wide Conditions be met
• Determination by Zoning C.E.O. that unit is HUD compliant
Mr. Thomas seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
The hearing was adjourned at 8:00 PM. !!!
